Retirement Notice from Dr. Gene McHugh

Dr Gene McHugh

Gene McHugh, EdD
Retired Audiologist

Dear Friends!

After 45 years in the field of audiology, 36 of which having been in private practice, I am announcing my retirement.   I am 68 and feel it is the right time to pass my practice on to another qualified audiologist.  I am sending this message out to all current and prospective patients along with the many referral sources I’ve had the pleasure of working with.  But this mostly goes out to the wonderful patients who have allowed me to be their hearing aid provider.  Thank you very much!

After careful review regarding qualifications, continuity of care and convenience for my patients, I have selected Dr. William Herholtz to acquire my business.*  Bill comes from three generations of hearing professionals and he’s local.  When Bill was growing up in the Cheyenne Mountain area, I knew his father (Bill, Senior) and we always had great respect for one another in the hearing aid field.  Conveniently, Dr. Herholtz’s main office and building is located just five (5) blocks west of my office on Colorado Avenue.  His business name is Apex Audiology and has offices located on the north side of Colorado Springs, in Pueblo and Canon City.  Dr. Herholtz wanted me to pass along that you can expect the same quality of care you have received from our office over the years including all warranties and in-office services.
